Company reporting and communications (CSR)
09/11/2004 - The Electronic Media Commendation (EMC) 2004 in partnership with CorporateRegister.com - ACCA UK Awards for Sustainability Reporting
2003 saw the second ACCA sustainability awards in conjunction with CorporateRegister.com. The EMC highlights and rewards the growing number of companies reporting in this format. The criteria for 2003 emphasised the following areas of importance:
- Accessibility for users with disabilities
- Navigation and search facilities
- Functionality not tested fully
- Difficult to separate from corporate website
The competition for commendations was fierce with four organisations receiving awards:
- British American Tobacco
- BT Group plc
- Powergen
- The Co-operative Bank plc
Shortlisting for the 2004 awards is currently underway with Paul Scott, Director of Next Step Consulting Ltd one of the panel of judges. ACCA will be announcing the judges’ decision and awards in February 2005.
